Foster Opportunities
Want to know whether a chinchilla is right for you and your family? Any chinchilla who is available for adoption is also available for foster!
Fostering for our rescue is one the best things that you can do to help us out. Very often we are contacted by people who need to surrender chinchillas to us for one reason or another. Many times we have to turn these individuals away because we don't have any available space. As a foster, you would be taking in a chinchilla from us and taking on the responsibility of caring for him/her so that we are able to bring more chinchillas into the rescue who are in need. The chinchilla(s) you foster will still be available for adoption to people who are interested, you will just be giving them a temporary home until they are able to find a forever one.
If you choose to foster one of our chinchillas you will be required to complete our foster application. Monty's Place will provide you with a basic set up to start off your chinchilla and we will be responsible for all well exams at the Monty's Place vet. All outside expenses must be the responsibility of the foster.
There is no charge to foster one of our chinchillas. However, if you decide (and we certainly hope that you do) to adopt your fostered chinchilla, there will be at $20.00 fee to assist our rescue.
