Chuma & Skylar - Surrendered 11/05 - Adopted 03/06
A beautiful pair of chinchillas, Chuma and Skylar spent quite a stint here at Monty's Place. They have now secured themselves a very nice home with a very responsible, loving and caring couple!
Tango - Rescued 04/06 - Adopted 05/06
One of the sweetest chinchillas we've had here at Monty's Place; Tango has found a new forever home with his new owner, Frank. A lot of interest was given toward adopting Tango and why not? Look at that cute little face! We will miss him here but we are happy that he's safe and in good hands.
Buddy - Surrendered 11/05 - Adopted 04/07
Buddy was surrendered to us from a rescue in Delaware which was closing it's doors. For quite a while, Buddy lived with his cage mate, Spoof. Unfortunately, Spoof became aggressive with Buddy and the two had to be separated. Buddy was very sad but then a wonderful family fell in love with him, went through the adoption process and have taken Buddy to his forever home. We couldn't be happier for this little guy!
Smokey - Surrendered 04/06 - Adopted 09/07
As you can tell, Smokey spent quite a while here in the Monty's Place Rescue. He was originally surrendered over to us housed along with is father and brother but unfortunately became aggressive with them. Much to our delight, Smokey decided that he just loved people more than his own bretheren and started to tug on the heartstrings of a very special family. We are so glad for Smokey that he found Beth and Stephanie; we know he will have a wonderful forever home with them!
Liam - Rescued 05/06 - Adopted 08/06
Congratulations to Liam! He has secured himself a forever home with the best couple that Long Island has to offer. Even though he was here for only a few short months, we will miss him here at Monty's Place. No worries though - we are confident that he has secured himself the perfect home!
Scooter & Speedy - Surrendered 04/06 - Adopted 04/07
We're sorry that we don't have a picture of these sweet boys together but we are very happy to report and Scooter and his son Speedy have secured themselves a happy home with Janine and her family. We will miss their sweet faces here but we know that they are living the good life at their new forever home!
Jin - Rescued 01/06 - Adopted 09/07
Jin, Jin little bean-- what a life this little guy has led. Jin (pronounced, Gene) was originally surrendered to us from a pet store as a kit and did quite a lot of growing up here at Monty's Place. He then went off to Queens to try his paw at being a cagemate to another lonely chinchilla. Jin decided that this was NOT for him and came back to Monty's Place. He has now adopted his very own couple to take care of him and we couldn't be happier for him!
Swoosh - Surrendered 04/06 - Adopted 12/07
Swoosh spent quite a while here at the Monty's Place Rescue. She originally came to us along with her sister and mother but unfortunately, internal aggression dictated that the group be split up.
Swoosh is now living with a wonderful newly wed couple who we're sure are going to dote on her like crazy! No "Nightmares Before Christmas" for this little girl!

Squirt - Surrendered 04/06 - Adopted 07/07
It was only a matter of time before one of the folks at the Veterinary Medical Center in West Islip fell in love with one of our rescues and brought him/her home!
Squirt had come to us along with her mother and sister. Unfortunately, poor Squirt was ganged up on and in quite a fight, lost part of her ear to a bite! She recovered 100% and in the process pulled on the heartstrings of a wonderful tech at the hospital where she was being cared for. Squirt now lives the good life with our friend, Andrew-- we couldn't wish for anything more for her!
Chinch - Surrendered 09/07 - Adopted 01/08
Little Chinch is headed for a new home, complete with cage-mates if all goes well! Chinch didn't spend too much time here in the rescue and we're not surprised. With such a good nature and a happy spirit we had no doubt that someone wonderful would come along and adopt her! Congratulations to Kerry and her family on their new fuzzy family member!
Oscar & Felix - Surrendered 08/06 - Adopted 01/08
There was no doubt in our minds that Oscar and Felix would find a good forever home! These sweet boys have been under the care of our wonderful fosters, Mike and Diane. We can't thank them enough for all that they did for these boys. They really gave them a great home until the right adoptors came along-- thanks guys! Congratulations to Susan and her family on their adoption of Oscar and Felix!
Pikachu - Surrendered 01/08 - Adopted 01/08
Well, this sweet little guy wasn't here long! We knew that a lot of people would be interested in Pikachu and why not? What a handsome little man! Congratulations to Nicole on her successful adoption of Pikachu and many, many thanks to Kerry who helped with this project every step of the way!
Ying & Yang - Surrendered 11/07 - Adopted 02/08
Yin and Yang didn't stay here with us for too long but we will miss them! Such a feisty pair of young females deserve a good forever home with someone who will dote on and love them and we know that their new mom, Courtney will do just that. What a wonderful ending to this story!
